LASER TATTOO REMOVAL

Lasers remove tattoos by breaking up the pigment colors with a high-intensity light beam. Black tattoo pigment absorbs all laser wavelengths, making it the easiest color to treat. Other colors can only be treated by selected lasers based upon the pigment color.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Diabetes (insulin-dependent)

  • Hemophilia

  • AIDS

  • Hepatitis B or C

  • Eczema

  • Epilepsy

  • Allergy to tattoo products (inks, pigments, etc.)

  • Keloid scars

Many factors can affect how a tattoo will respond to a laser treatment, including the way the tattoo had been drawn (amateur vs professional), the age of the patient, the ink quality, and the body location. As our Pico second laser is used to treat skin phototypes I to IV it is not as effective on dark skin.

WILL TATTOO REMOVAL WORK FOR ME?

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

How many sessions to remove a tattoo depends on many factors. Generally, tattoo removal is a process which requires multiples sessions. Patience is essential. Your tattoo will fade gradually over the course of multiple treatments. We take photos at each stage to monitor your progress. The length of the process depends on your body’s availability to eliminate ink from the skin, the ink color, the deepness of the pigment and the type of ink used by the tattoo artist. Between each sessions, we recommend a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks time to let the skin heal and the body to flush away removed ink.

PERMANENT MAKEUP REMOVAL

In many cases we can remove permanent makeup and often with less treatments than traditional tattoos.
